IBIS Group cares to provide you with free consultation to offer you the best back up options for your IT infrastructure. Having a back up system in place is vitally important and it is important that constant checking will be done periodically to ensure that the back up is being done.

IBIS Group is now offering Back up Care. A service in which we will schedule either an onsite visit or by remote administration in order to make sure that the back up is being done properly. This service has been created following the requests we had from our clients after they heard horrible stories from other companies where they had all the back up facilities but no one was making sure that the data was actually being backed up properly.

No system is 100% fool proof and like all other things it has to be kept under regular observation and testing. When performing route checks, we do a simulated restore and actually restore the data from the backup medium to another location on the hard disks of the server. This is the only real test available to check where the backup is really backing up successfully and it is not good practice it restore from the backup only when a real recovery is neccessary as sometimes it turns out that the backup was being done on an unreadable medium.

Unfortunately many people tend to give backups insufficient important and they realize the mistake when it is too late. Having servers with RAIDed disks (Redundant Array of Independent disks) does not make your data safe against data corruption of deletion by mistake. You are only protected from having a single failure at any given time.  There is no insurance that can save your data or can compensate for data loss.
